Overview

We have successfully installed over 300 screw piles, ranging from 219mm to 273mm CHS, with depths reaching up to 14 meters. To ensure structural integrity and performance, we have conducted 11 static load tests on these piles. This extensive experience supports the construction of raised platforms and station structures, demonstrating our capability to deliver reliable and robust foundation solutions for complex infrastructure projects.

Challenges

We developed an original bored pile design specifically tailored for a highly constrained rail corridor, where site access was severely limited. The project required working alongside live rail operations, demanding stringent safety measures and careful coordination to minimize disruption. Our innovative approach addressed these challenges by optimizing pile placement and installation methods, ensuring structural stability while maintaining compliance with all operational and safety requirements in a complex and sensitive environment.

Solution

Piletech redesigned the foundations using screw piles, eliminating the need for dedicated piling platforms on reclaimed land. Using height- and slew-restricted equipment, we safely delivered the project within live rail environments, significantly reducing program duration.
